Preparing your home for a renovation store-out
A little planning makes collection day fast and keeps your furniture safe while the work happens:
- Walk through room by room and decide what leaves and what stays behind a dust sheet
- Disassemble bulky furniture (bed frames, dining tables) where you can — it is safer to store and easier to move
- Empty and clean appliances, and wrap mattresses and sofas to keep dust and paint off
- In our humidity, make sure everything is fully dry before collection and add silica-gel sachets to boxes of soft furnishings or electronics
- Box up loose items, breakables and small electronics, and label each box by the room it belongs to
- Book collection for a day or two before the contractors arrive, so nothing is in their way
When the renovation is done, arrange the return in the app and we deliver everything back to your door. Your stored items are insured throughout.
